Leire Dominguez was born and bred in the vibrant city of Barcelona, where she quickly developed a long standing obsession with all visual things. Growing up in a city in which “you can breathe design ” provided the perfect environment which to develop a designers eye.

 

This early arts education, combined with the constant cosmopolitan inspiration happening outside of the classroom, lead Leire to study at the Llotja Arts School after completing high school. While learning about traditional fine arts, she also became immersed in the underground street art scene, mixing with graffiti artists, skaters, and musicians. From there she went on to do a bachelors degree in advertising and public relations at the Rovira i Virgili University. To further extend her visual communication abilities she undertook post-graduate courses in illustration, graphic and multimedia design, post-production, and motion graphics.

 

After holding down a variety of freelance and full-time positions in Barcelona involving the above skills, Leire decided to move to Sydney in order to continue the upward trajectory of her visuals career, become fluent in English, and most importantly learn how to surf.

 

Not one to sit around and stagnate, in Sydney she got straight into a Masters in Digital Media: 3D Animation, even receiving the COFA International Scholarship award in 2010. Afterwards Leire worked as freelance graphic design and motion graphic designer for several companies and organisations like NASCA (National Aboriginal Sporting Chance Academy).
Finally, Leire ended working as a full-time motion graphic designer at the public national Australian TV channel SBS. During her 4 years in this company, she manages from start to final product: tv promos, on screen graphics, teaser campaigns, 2d animations... for all the different departments (Sports, Food, News,...) and their shows. 

 

After almost 6 years living in Sydney, Leire is back at her hometown and ready to launch out into the design marketplace of Barcelona with a vast array of visual talents under her belt, tireless work ethic and contagious positive energy for life.
